Experience that gets results

That's why our Strategic Planning facilitation is more than just a process—it's a catalyst for transformation. It's born out of 40 years of experience and a deep-seated desire to empower nonprofit leaders like you to achieve their boldest dreams and make a lasting impact in the world.

We've seen firsthand the incredible potential that exists within the nonprofit sector time-and-time again, and believe that with the right support and guidance, you have the power to unlock that potential and create meaningful change in your community.

That's why we've poured our hearts and souls into developing this program—to provide you with the tools, resources, and expertise you need to turn your vision into reality. Whether you're looking to expand your programs, increase your fundraising efforts, or strengthen your organizational capacity, our facilitators will help you achieve your goals and propel your nonprofit forward.

How we create your plan in 4 steps

STEP 1: GETTING TO KNOW YOU

THIS IS WHERE WE LISTEN CLOSELY TO DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOUR NONPROFIT GOALS LOOK LIKE. WE ALSO RESEARCH YOUR AUDIENCE AND POTENTIAL CUSTOMER BASE.

•Core Planning Team – Who will be the decision makers in your planning process?

•Your Team and Programs – Who’s doing what and why?

•Your Key Constituents – Who are your clients, funders and partners?

•Funding Sources – What is the makeup of your donor base?

•Competitive Overview - What's going on in your field of service and community?

STEP 2: SETTING THE STAGE

THIS IS WHERE WE STRATEGIZE AND PREPARE. WE WILL CONDUCT SURVEY'S OF YOUR KEY SONSITUENTS, THEN DISCUSS AND ANALYZE THE RESULTS WITH THE CORE PLANNING TEAM. THIS WILL INFORM OUR DECISIONS MOVING FORWARD.

•Conduct Internal Analysis – Identify the organizations strengths and weaknesses, structures and procedures, programs and services, and other factors that may influence how your organization operates.

•Conduct External Analysis - Evaluate niche markets, economic changes, technological changes, demographic factors and the specific community in which your organization operates.

•Purpose and Goals - Review Mission Statement and create initial goals for implementation in five key areas: People, Fundraising, Finance/HR/Governance/ Process & Systems, Brand & Marketing, and Programs.

STEP 3: DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTING YOUR STRATEGIC PLAN SOLUTION.

THIS IS THE HEART OF THE PLANNING PROCESS - YOUR STRATEGIC RETREAT. WE'LL FACILITATE A TWO DAY RETREAT AT A COMFORTABLE SITE AWAY FROM THE DISTRACTIONS OF THE NORMAL WORKPLACE.

•Conduct a detailed S.W.O.T. analysis (fueled by the internal and external surveys already completed).

•Ensure the mission statement works for the future and if necessary, help you develop a refined statement.

•Create key organizational goals, objectives, strategies and budget.

•Develop an actionable strategic plan with specific tasks, timelines and persons responsible for completing the tasks.

•Create a revenue generation plan that supports the strategic goals developed.

STEP 4: COMMUNICATION AND MONITORING

WE'LL RECOMMEND WAYS TO REPEATEDLY COMMUNICATE YOUR PLAN TO EVERYONE IN YOUR ORGANIZATION. THE GOALS OF THE ORGANIZATION SHOULD BECOME HIGH IN EVERYONE'S CONSCIOUSNESS SO THAT ROUTINE, DAILY DECISIONS ARE IN HARMONEY WITH THESE GOALS.

•Deliver and refine the completed strategic plan.

•Deliver an Executive Summary of the plan for key stakeholders.

•Integrate monitoring and progress reporting into the board agenda.

•Conduct ongoing analysis and adjust the goals and objectives (Primary ongoing responsibility will be assigned to key members of the nonprofit organization).
